RESOLUTION


To resolve this problem, follow these steps:1. Click Start, click Run, type Regedit, and then click OK. 2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325 -11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 3. In the right pane, right-click LowerFilters, and then click Delete. 4. In the right pane, right-click UpperFilters, and then click Delete. 5. On the File menu, click Exit. 6. Restart your computer. 7. Click Start, click Run, type Sysdm.cpl, and then click OK. 8. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. 9. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives. 10. Right-click each device under DVD/CD-ROM drives, and then click Uninstall. 11. Click OK, and then restart your computer.

- c:\windows - enter - alt - tools - folder options - views - hidden files and folder- high protective os files - check it - apply and ok- system32 - double click - any files with reg - no- start - sfc /scannow- start - cmd - run as admnistrator - sfc /scannow - sfc \scannow - exit - start - regedit - access denied - restart- open ie - www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_cd-dvd-fix.zip - download - save- run and repair- go to my computer - dvd drive is detected
